Administrator/Owner
I attribute my lifelong dedication to the geriatric field to the influence of my grandfather, Grandpa Murphy.
He was an Irishman known for his vibrant personality and enduring humor until he reached the remarkable age of 99.
Fueled by my early experiences with seniors, I embarked on my professional journey after graduating from Texas A&M University in 1985 with a degree in Community Health Education. My initial decade in the retirement community sector provided valuable insights, but it was in home care that my true passion blossomed.
In 2001, alongside Cindy Smith, we founded our own home care agency with a straightforward business plan to create a small agency where personal connections thrive. Our vision was clear, intimately knowing each client, family, and employee. The strategy of maintaining a small-scale agency allowed us to meticulously choose, train, and supervise our staff. The result is a culture at Care Innovations that prides itself on genuine care, consistently going above and beyond for every client. This commitment to excellence defines our legacy in the healthcare field.

While a student at the University of Houston, my journey in the healthcare industry began when I accepted a role at a retirement community. Little did I know this decision would profoundly shape my life. As I built a relationship with the residents, they shared their stories with me, creating a deep connection that fueled my passion for working with seniors. Transitioning from various roles within the community, I graduated with a degree in accounting and ventured into overseeing human resources and billing departments for a home health agency.
In 1988, my collaboration with Kris Diaz led to the establishment of a branch office for a national home care and staffing company in Houston. Rapid growth brought success, but I felt a void in the personal connections I cherished. The company’s scale made it challenging to maintain the closeness I valued with both residents and employees. Determined to rekindle that intimate touch, Kris and I decided to embark on our own business venture. In 2001, we founded our home care agency with a unique business plan, prioritizing a small-scale approach while ensuring viability.
This entrepreneurial leap allowed us to personally know each employee and granted me the time to engage meaningfully with our clients. Carefully combining our decades of experience, we shaped a home care company that retains the foundation of a large enterprise yet exudes the personal touch of a small business. Today, I take pride in our journey, where expertise meets genuine care, defining our place as industry leaders in home care and care management.

I began my career in customer service management, where I developed a strong work ethic in dealing with both customers and coworkers. I built robust new hire relations through on-the-job training and applied my customer satisfaction expertise to colleague interactions. Seeking to expand my experience and better utilize my skills, I transitioned into administration.
Leveraging my customer service background and initiative to learn and grow, I quickly became familiar with the human resources sector. Exploring various aspects of HR, I discovered that it allowed me to channel my passion for helping others develop their work ethics. I honed my skills in recruiting, finding it an excellent avenue to guide and teach company policies and procedures and manage the entire new hire experience on
a larger scale.
I am deeply passionate about helping individuals discover their career paths and thrive in their roles. Meeting and engaging with a variety of personalities and skill sets is something I enjoy daily. Employee relations is a passion that I continue to refine and expand.a larger scale.
